I have a game I play on my commute every once in a while. It’s called “count how many cars aren’t black, white, gray, silver”. Catchy name, I know. The count in my 20-30 minute commute is depressingly low. Most of them are a dark shade of red. I resorted to counting the blues so dark, they might as well be black.

This picture really drives it home, though. There are a few cars that legitimately look great in white (including the 4C), but I’m not sure if I could buy one and continue to contribute to the problem. Because if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. #teamskittlecolors :p

I think people get dazzled by whatever variation of white is sitting inside the showroom. Like black, when it’s perfectly clean, white is a safe colour for almost any car.

But out on the road, a white BMW X5 looks just like any other mallmobile, including ones that cost far less.

White paint is so nice in summer though. My white-on-tan Golf doesn't get that hot inside even on 100-degree days.

I agree...I was driving in the Richmond Hill area of Toronto one time...so many white BMW’s. I counted 7 in a row at one point. Geez.

But 3 of my 4 are silver. However, one of the silver ones has purple wheels for winter and sparking teal wheels for summer. I am awesome.

I think they are only sold in a couple of CA metros and that’s it.  They’ve only sold around 4,000 total since it came out.
